While the thought of losing one’s job can be harrowing enough as is, what happens if the decision to terminate one’s employment stems from unjust reasons? Individuals in Michigan who encounter such hardships due to the presence of discriminatory treatment may be left in search of advice on the best course of action to take to address the situation. A former employee of a motorsports dealership in another state has recently filed a lawsuit accusing the company of gender discrimination and wrongful termination.

Discrimination lawsuit

According to reports, the woman claims she was fired from her position as manager of sales and finance at the company after being subjected to discriminatory behavior. The lawsuit asserts that the dealership stripped her of certain management duties after hiring two male employees to fulfill these roles. This not only led to an unexpected demotion, but she also claims that the two new employees also began subjecting her to offensive conduct and refused to acknowledge her role in the business.

The lawsuit states that several months later, the dealership informed her of the decision to eliminate the position of sales manager. However, after she was fired from this position, the company hired another male employee to fulfill this position. She claims that the decision stemmed from unjust treatment and she has since filed a lawsuit accusing the company of wrongful termination and gender discrimination.
